Zelensky has stated that the US has made it’s security guarantees for Ukraine contingent upon Ukraine withdrawing it’s forces from Donbas. Zelensky also added that the US and Ukraine are on completely different pages in assessing Russia’s willingness to end the war. He also added that the US is now focused on the war in Iran and this is probably why the US is trying to close the war in Ukraine quickly. Donald Trump in the meantime has stated that Russia and Ukraine are very close to a peace deal. Iran has responded to the US peace proposal which consists of 15 points. Iran is rejecting the proposal as the US has confirmed the deployment of some elements of the 82Airborne Division into the Middle East. Friedrich Merz has stated that it makes no sense for Germany to send Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
