The Shrek 5 Trailer Just Dropped and it is getting a Mixed Reaction:

Let’s talk about the positives: All 3 of Shrek's Kids are alive and well, at least according to the trailer, while we can’t say for certain, it is fairly implied that those two younger Ogres are Shreks Sons and the 3rd Oger is the first Trailer is Shrek’s Daughter.

The next positive is that this does look like an Adventure that takes place in the Shrek Universe and avoids the Cheap Multiverse Meme travel into real life, though it is still possible that could happen in the film. There were rumors that the Original Plot was some sort of Shrek goes through the Multiverse type story, and the delay was to alter that plot.

Again those are just rumors.

The Negative reaction of course is still coming from the fact that Dreamworks is sticking to their redesigns and are not using the old Shrek Designs. Fans were hoping that they at the very least kept the old dimensions of the models and just aged up the characters a bit, but instead Shrek and Donkey look completely different.

And it’s not like Fans are afraid of Change, because Puss in Boots technically got an updated design and fans were okay with that,

Overall I think this movie is worth giving a chance, we can at the very least appreciate the fact that based on the new trailer, this movie is not just some Meme and reference fest, and it really looks like a new story: although anything can happen in the actual film.
