This silent film masterpiece, considered by many critics the best silent film ever, was greatly enhanced by my taking the European and American versions and editing them into one stunning film. I worked long hours correcting the contrast and brightness of the films, "repairing" damaged parts of each version and correcting the speed of the film. I also added some original music.

This film garnered a 98% rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Janet Gaynor was absolutely superb in the starring role. The direction by F.W. Murnau and the cinematography by Karl Struss and Charles Rosher were groundbreaking.
