The new Chiikawa Movie: The Secret of Mermaid Island is officially releasing in Japan on July 24, 2026, with releases also confirmed for the Philippines and Hong Kong later in 2026. While there is currently no worldwide release date, many Chiikawa fans are hoping the movie will receive a global theatrical release.
